Police - Forensics at the parents' house of the missing girl
Following the disappearance of a two-year-old girl, experts searched the child's parents' home in Bingen in the district of Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg on Monday. "There is no evidence of violence," said police spokesman Christian Sugg. The girl's parents were staying with acquaintances outside the community on Monday.
Police sniffer dogs picked up a trail of the two-year-old that led to the Lauchert river, according to a police spokeswoman. The family's home is located in Hitzkofen - a suburb of Bingen - in the immediate vicinity of the river.
Divers had searched for the little girl along the river on Sunday - initially without success. The divers were also in the water at a weir.
"The search for the child will continue on Tuesday", the police spokeswoman said. The water police, among others, will then be on site. The two-year-old girl had probably left her parents' house in her pyjamas in an unobserved moment on Sunday between 4.00 and 5.00 pm.
