Food manufacturer recalls organic broccoli seeds
The food manufacturer Govinda Natur is recalling a batch of sprouted organic broccoli seeds. The company, based in Neustadt an der Weinstraße in the Palatinate region of Germany, announced on Wednesday that an increased bacterial count had been detected in batch 2803/3 with a best-before date of 15.09.2025. The pathogens of the type Bacillus Cereus could cause nausea or diarrhea.
As a precautionary measure, the product should not be consumed and can be returned; the purchase price will be refunded even without presenting a receipt. Other batches of the product are not affected. The food warning affects twelve federal states: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.
Consumers in various regions should be aware that Govinda Natur is recalling a batch of sprouted organic broccoli seeds due to an increased bacterial count. Consequently, affected consumers are advised not to consume this product and can return it for a full refund, even without a receipt.
