Cricket contests dubbed "Test matches" - Following the rain, the city anticipates no disruption to the upcoming international match.
Following recent heavy downpours, the friendly soccer game between Germany's national team and Ukraine is still scheduled to go ahead as intended. Nuremberg, in contrast to other areas of the free state, managed to escape the weekend largely intact, so no issues or implications will affect the evening match, according to the city of Nuremberg on a Monday morning.
This was stated by the police over the weekend, confirming that the events surrounding the friendly match could continue as planned.
The game set for Monday night (8:45 pm/ARD) is the first of two pre-tournament trials for the national coach Julian Nagelsmann. The second friendly match, occurring on the following Friday in Mönchengladbach, pits Germany against the Greek squad. In the upcoming European Championship (June 14 to July 14), Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland are set to be Germany's opponents.
To preserve the lawn, Ukraine relocated its final training to Erlangen instead of Nuremberg's Max-Morlock-Stadion. Ukraine, coached by Serhij Rebrov, will face Belgium, Romania, and Slovakia in the group stage of the European Championship.
