Following a super hot Friday, Berlin and Brandenburg's temperatures are predicted to drop progressively over the following days. On the previous day, temperatures hit 31 to 32 degrees Celsius in Niederlausitz, the highest in the region, while North Brandenburg experienced temperatures ranging from 28 to 30 degrees, based on information from the German Weather Service on Saturday.

In comparison to data from past decades, the spokesperson noted that yesterday's high temperatures were only a few degrees beyond the typical highest values for Berlin and Brandenburg.

As per the weather service, the coming days will witness a trend of gradual cooling: Today, temperatures in Niederlausitz will reach a max of 31 degrees, in Prignitz up to 24 degrees, and around 27 degrees in Berlin. Persistent showers are expected to continue until tomorrow.

Sunday, especially in the southeastern areas of Brandenburg, could experience thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and severe weather conditions. Expect temperatures of 21 degrees in Prignitz, 27 degrees in Niederlausitz, and 25 degrees in Berlin. On Monday, the highest temperature will only be around 24 degrees.

The weather forecast indicates a drop in temperatures after the heatwave, with Berlin expecting temperatures of around 27 degrees on this day. According to the forecast, the cooling trend will continue, with temperatures in Berlin likely to be only 24 degrees on Monday.
