Severe weather aftermath - Following intense showers: Trees felled, basements flooded

Following the intense rainstorms, Saxony-Anhalt's fire department was summoned to various incidents. On Thursday evening, the Altmark control center reported that trees had been uprooted and cellars had been flooded. On Friday, locals in the town of Schäplitz, a part of Bismark, joined efforts to remove mud from their streets. In the Salzlandkreis, more incidents occurred, such as in the town of Nelben, which is under Könnern's jurisdiction. In this area, homes were flooded, according to the Salzlandkreis's control center.
