Fog in the Eintracht curve: no provocative lettering

Five days after the serious riots in the Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart, the fans of Eintracht Frankfurt have initially refrained from further provocations towards the police. Before the Conference League match against PAOK Saloniki on Thursday evening, the supporters of the Hessians briefly fogged their own curve, lit a few Bengal fires and waved numerous flags in the club colors. Provocative banners were initially nowhere to be seen. A banner with the inscription "Freie Kurve Frankfurt" was prominently displayed between the lower and upper tiers before the start of the match.

On Saturday, there had been violent clashes between Eintracht fans and the police. A total of over 200 people were injured. Both the club and the police announced an intensive investigation. With a view to the international match against Thessaloniki, Frankfurt's police chief Stefan Müller announced: "We will approach the match with the necessary professionalism, with composure. But we also expect the same from the problem fans." No major incidents were initially reported before kick-off.

Despite the absence of provocative banners, the Eintracht Frankfurt fans engaged in frugally fogging their curve and flaunted numerous flags during the Conference League match against PAOK Thessaloniki. Eintracht Frankfurt's rival, PAOK Saloniki, was the opponent in this European competition encounter.
