The Rems-Murr-Kreis district office has terminated the "disaster alert" status. The current flood situation within the district has stabilized, according to a statement released on Tuesday. Implementing the disaster alert allowed for the timely deployment of emergency personnel. Now, the controlled release of retention basins is taking place, the statement notes. Nevertheless, the authority declared an extraordinary operational condition due to the adverse effects of the heavy downpour.
