Official State Building [$office] - Flooding alert for multiple rivers in Saxony
The projected flood situation for the Saxon region of the Elbe will be evaluated starting Sunday. The Hydro-Meteorological Institute in Prague has been predicting an increase in water levels for the Czech Elbe and Moldau rivers.
In response, the State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG) has urged the public to prioritize their safety amidst the expected flooding and overflow. This includes steering clear of running waters, avoiding entry into cellars, garages, and underpasses during heavy downpours, and refraining from crossing flood-stricken areas on foot or in vehicles.
