Flooding - Flood warnings for several rivers in Saxony-Anhalt
Following the thaw and the persistent rainfall of the past few days, the water levels of several rivers in Saxony-Anhalt have risen significantly. Alert level two of four was reached on the Dumme near Tylsen and the Ohre near Wolmirstedt, as the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for Flood Protection and Water Management announced on Tuesday. From alert level three, the first flooding of individual properties, streets or cellars is possible.
According to the flood forecasting center, the water levels are expected to continue to rise in the coming days due to the predicted further rainfall. At the water levels of the Weiße Elster, the Wipper and the Warme Bode, the reporting limits were reached as the lowest level of flood exceedance.
