Temperature rise - Flood risk to increase in Bavaria at the weekend

According to the Flood Information Service (HND), there is a risk of flooding throughout Bavaria from the weekend. However, a spokeswoman said on Thursday that it will only become clear in the coming days what this means regionally.

While the small outbursts that occurred locally in some places in the middle of the week will subside for the time being, floods are expected again from Sunday due to rising temperatures. On Monday, the snow line is expected to rise to around 2000 meters. In addition, prolonged rain is expected in parts of the low mountain ranges and in the Alps, according to the HND situation report on Thursday.
