Flood investigation committee meets behind closed doors
The committee of inquiry in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament into the flood disaster in the Ahr valley is meeting behind closed doors today. Among other things, the meeting in Mainz will discuss a motion for evidence from the Free Voters to discuss an expert opinion on the events. In the flood disaster on the night of July 14/15, 2021, 136 people lost their lives in Rhineland-Palatinate: 135 in the Ahr region and one in the Trier area.
