Flight traffic in Frankfurt halted due to climate activists' protest
"A spokesperson for the Federal Police told news agency AFP that they are making every effort to remove climate activists from the premises. No further information could be provided at this time.

The Last Generation declared that they are calling on the German government to "draft and sign a legally binding, international agreement that regulates the global exit from Oil, Gas and Coal by 2030." Six demonstrators had cut through the fence at the airfield with bolt cutters and "on foot, with bicycles and skateboards" reached the runways.
On Wednesday, activists from The Last Generation had temporarily shut down Cologne/Bonn Airport by gluing themselves to a runway field. They were removed by the police and the flight operations were able to resume after several hours.
Similar protests occurred on Wednesday at London Heathrow Airport, where nine activists from the group Just Stop Oil were arrested. At Oslo Airport, twelve activists staged a blockade. Reports of similar incidents came from Spain and Finland."
