Acrobatics organizer - Flic Flac Christmas program in Dortmund and Duisburg
The acrobatics promoter Flic Flac is launching its Christmas program on Thursday with shows in Dortmund, Duisburg and Nuremberg. In Dortmund, a new tent with 1400 seats will be used to present the world's first acrobatic act with a moving car built into the stage under the motto "Stop car race". Eight artists will jump over and through the car, according to a spokesperson.
During the show, up to ten motorcyclists will once again race simultaneously through an iron ball around six meters high, the so-called death ball.
Flic Flac describes itself as Germany's largest organizer of action and acrobatic shows. Around 50 artists perform in Dortmund alone, supported by almost 70 other crew members, according to the spokesperson. Nationwide, the number of employees is around 750.
Flic Flac Christmas shows are largely staged simultaneously in six cities: In Dortmund, Duisburg and Nuremberg they run from December 14 to January 7, in Bielefeld from December 19 to January 7, in Kassel from December 21 to January 14 and in Erfurt from December 15 to January 7. Flic Flac puts the total number of visitors in over 30 years at more than twelve million.
