Five topical debates are on the agenda in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament on Tuesday. Around seven hours are scheduled for this. Each parliamentary group and the state government will have ten minutes to speak on each topic.

Five topical debates are on the agenda in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament on Tuesday. Around seven hours are scheduled for this. Each parliamentary group and the state government will have ten minutes to speak on each topic.

At the request of the Left Party, the debate will focus on industrial policy. The other opposition parliamentary groups have requested debates on the review of coronavirus policy (AfD) and the regulations on the debt brake (Greens). The CDU parliamentary group wants to discuss the current results of the latest Pisa study, while the FDP parliamentary group wants to discuss nuclear energy.

According to the state parliament administration, each parliamentary group has the right to submit a topical debate six times a year. The topics should be "of general and current interest and relate to the competencies of the state".
