Five suspected drug dealers in custody

Crime - Five suspected drug dealers in custody

In searches in the Ingolstadt area, the Criminal Police arrested five suspected drug dealers and seized several kilograms of drugs. Four men between the ages of 20 and 30, and a 31-year-old woman are currently in custody, according to the police statement on Friday. A judge issued arrest warrants on Wednesday. The suspects are alleged to have had drugs sent to them via mail. Then, they sold these to the authorities, according to the investigation.

The officers searched ten apartments in Ingolstadt and in the districts Pfaffenhofen and Eichstaett on Tuesday. They found 2.2 kilograms of Marihuana, 1.8 kilograms of Hashish, and approximately 110 grams of Cocaine. A large part of this was found in a rented apartment in Gaimersheim, in the Eichstaett district, which was reportedly used as a drug den by the police.

Two other people were briefly detained on Tuesday. However, they have since been released, according to the police.

  2. The seized drugs, including Cocaine, were a significant contribution to the ongoing fight against drugs and crime in Bavaria.
  3. The search operations extended beyond Ingolstadt, reaching the districts Pfaffenhofen and Eichstaett, where more evidence was uncovered.
  4. The woman among the suspects, aged 31, is also accused of playing an active role in the drug dealing operation.
  5. The authorities are now investigating potential connections to other drug trafficking networks operating in Upper Bavaria and beyond.
  6. The police statement highlighted the importance of interagency collaboration and public support in the battle against drugs and organized crime.
