Following a fire in an apartment building in Donaueschingen, five residents have been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation. A fire broke out in the apartment of a 24-year-old man in the morning for unknown reasons, police said on Friday. A resident called the fire department and police when he noticed the heavy smoke coming from the apartment. The residents of the apartment building were able to leave the building on their own, it was reported. The fire department quickly extinguished the fire. The police could not yet say how much property damage was caused.
