In the new week, students and pupils in North Rhine-Westphalia can look forward to first sunny and pleasant weather. The highest temperatures climb to over 30 degrees in the first holiday week, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced. On Wednesday, it gets cloudy and the weather experts expect rain.

According to DWD, Monday starts sunny, with partly cloudy conditions in the northwest. It remains dry with highest temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees. In the night, it cools down to 14 to 11 degrees, in the Eifel to 8 degrees. On Tuesday, there is a lot of sunshine and temperatures rise to 29 to 32 degrees. In the evening, there might be first showers and thunderstorms in the west, which could spread to Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the sun remains behind changing to strong cloudiness. The weather experts expect thundery rain showers and locally heavy rain. The highest temperatures lie between 24 and 27 degrees.

Despite the anticipated rain, the maximum temperature in the region is still expected to reach between 24 and 27 degrees. Previously, the region enjoyed sunny and pleasant weather, with temperatures soaring over 30 degrees during the first holiday week.
