- Firefighters supply 4500 chickens with fresh air

The fire department in Geestland (Cuxhaven district) rescued several thousand chickens from a crashed livestock transporter, saving them from the heat. A spokesperson reported that an accident occurred in the town of Lintig, where the transporter carrying around 4500 chickens veered off the road. Due to the high temperatures, the rescue team provided the animals with fresh air using high-performance fans during the several-hour-long recovery operation.

The transporter that caused the accident was from Lower Saxony, as mentioned in the vehicle's registration details. After the successful rescue, the chickens were transported back to their farm, which was located in Lower Saxony.
