A squirrel and a bird were rescued by the fire department in Gelsenkirchen, Corpus Christi, on two different occasions.

Gelsenkirchen: Location of Interest - Firefighters save a squirrel that got trapped in a window tilting at an angle.

A squirrel found itself in a predicament in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, after it became stuck near the roof of a house in a window. Witnesses passing by notified the fire service, who responded with a ladder to help the squirrel out. Since nobody was inside the affected flat, the firemen successfully rescued the squirrel and transported it to a veterinary clinic for medical attention.

On the same day, the fire department rescued a bird positioned behind a grate in a ventilation shaft.
