Five firefighters were lightly injured in a blaze in the city center of Pforzheim. They were examined at the scene as a precaution but not taken to the hospital, a police spokeswoman said. Four residents were also examined at the scene by emergency services, one of whom was taken to the hospital. According to reports, a fire originating from a car caused significant damage and prompted a large deployment of the fire department. Over 100 personnel were involved.

The fire, according to police, quickly spread from the car in a workshop to the rest of the building and an adjacent commercial building. A portion of the hall roof collapsed. After about three hours, the fire was extinguished, but post-fire operations continued into Wednesday morning due to recurring hotspots.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing. No estimates of the damage amount have been made yet.

The firefighters efficiently managed the spread of the fire with their firefighting equipment and strategies. Due to the intensity of the blaze, the firefighting efforts required the collaboration of over 100 personnel.
