- Fire on toilet in Bremen hospital - only minor restrictions
In the Bremen-Mitte hospital, a fire broke out in a restroom area. One person was transferred to another hospital with suspected smoke inhalation, a fire department spokesperson said. The fire was extinguished quickly. Afterwards, the area had to be ventilated due to the smoke.
After the fire started around 6:30 PM, the affected area was evacuated by hospital staff. There were no major disruptions to hospital operations. The cause of the fire and which ward was affected were initially unclear.
The hospital staff immediately initiated firefighting measures to extinguish the fire. Subsequently, the hospital organized a thorough inspection to determine the cause of the firefighting incident in the restroom area.
