Fire department operation - Fire in Würzburg clinic: Two injured

A fire has broken out in a secure ward of a clinic in Würzburg - two people have been injured. The fire broke out on Saturday in the common room of the mental health center with 18 patients, according to the fire department and police. Eight people were rescued from the smoke-filled building. Two of them were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire and the damage caused were initially unknown, the police reported. The criminal investigation department is now investigating. In addition to the police, around 153 emergency services were reportedly on site. No further details were initially known.
