In the Spree-Neisse district, two warehouses of a roofing company went up in flames on Sunday night. The buildings in Guben caught fire from late Saturday evening for an unknown cause, as a police spokesperson announced on Sunday morning. According to the fire department, an emergency responder was lightly injured during the firefighting efforts. Previously, the RBB reported.

The firefighting efforts reportedly lasted the entire night, according to the fire department spokesperson, and were only completed around 10 am on Sunday morning. Therefore, further cleanup efforts may be necessary during the day.

The fiery incident occurred on a Sunday night in the District of Spree-Neisse, specifically in Guben, where two warehouses belonging to a roofing company were consumed by flames. Despite the efforts of the local fire department, the fires continued to burn from late Saturday evening, with the source of the blaze remaining unidentified. Despite the challenges, the fire department successfully extinguished the fires around 10 am on Sunday morning, but some minor extinguishing work may still be required during the day.
