Constance - Fire in refugee accommodation: one person injured
A fire broke out in a refugee shelter in Constance on Friday night. According to the police, one person was slightly injured and taken to hospital. The cause is still unclear. The criminal investigation department is investigating.
According to the fire department, around 60 people live in the accommodation. The fire broke out on the second floor. The affected residents on the second floor were unable to return to their rooms due to the fire damage. The remaining residents returned to their rooms after the building had been ventilated. A total of 18 people, including several children, were moved to other accommodation in the city.

The investigation into the cause of the fire in the refugee shelter is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Due to the fire damage, the residents on the second floor have been temporarily relocated to other refugee accommodation within Baden-Württemberg. Despite the incident, the refugee accommodation continues to provide a place of constancy and safety for its residents.
