- Fire in former railway station building
In Scheuerfeld (Altenkirchen district) a fire broke out in the former train station building. The building is currently vacant, as police reported early in the morning. No one was injured. The extent of damage and possible cause could not initially be determined by police.
The police department released a statement, saying: "The following is added: Firefighters have since arrived at the scene and are currently assessing the extent of the damage." After further investigation, it was discovered: "The following is added: It appears that the cause of the fire was an electrical fault in the building's wiring."
