Fires - Fire in Eutin school - criminal investigation

A fire broke out in a classroom at a school in Eutin on Wednesday night. The cause of the fire was initially unclear, but the emergency services found a broken window and devastated classrooms throughout the school building, according to the police. The criminal investigation department is now investigating whether there is a connection between the fire and a possible break-in and vandalism. The rooms affected by the fire have been confiscated for the time being, but school operations can continue as normal.

The fire department extinguished the fire and prevented major damage, as the police reported on Wednesday. According to the fire department, a total of eleven emergency vehicles and around 40 fire, rescue and police personnel were involved.
