Emergencies - Fire in empty warehouse in Berlin-Hellersdorf
A vacant warehouse in Berlin-Hellersdorf was engulfed in flames on Monday evening. "Around 400 square meters of the hall were on fire, with fire burning through to the roof," the fire department announced on Platform X. The scene is now under control. The roof is being opened to extinguish individual pockets of embers. No one was injured.
52 firefighters were deployed, according to a fire department spokesperson. As the building was in danger of collapsing, the 1400 square meter hall could not be entered. The warehouse was standing alone, so there was no danger to residents.
