Emergencies - Fire in Chemnitz apartment building: Two injured
Two residents have been injured in a fire in an apartment in an apartment building in Chemnitz. The two women, aged 87 and 88, were taken to hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation, police said on Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the house on Monday evening for reasons as yet unexplained. The fire department evacuated the house and extinguished the fire. There were no people in the apartment itself when the emergency services arrived. The amount of property damage was initially unclear.
