There was a fire on an upper floor of a high-rise building in Potsdam. Initial findings indicate that the fire was dealt with harmlessly.

In the Potsdam district of Zentrum-Ost, a high-rise is on fire. The fire broke out in one of the upper floors, according to a police spokesperson. Currently, 25 residents are being cared for. Initial findings suggest no injuries.

An eyewitness reportedly smelled smoke and then a window in the burning floor shattered, expelling fire and smoke from the building. A cordon has since been established around the building.

The spokesperson could not confirm whether the fire was on the 9th or 10th floor. "There are conflicting reports on that."

The fire at The Potsdam high-rise is located in the same district where the initial incident occurred. Authorities are investigating the exact floor where the fire originated.
