Fire extinguished at BMW plant in Landshut: No injuries
A fire in the ventilation system of a hall at the BMW plant in Landshut has caused damage. According to the Landshut police inspectorate on Friday, a spark from a machining system caused the fire in the ventilation pipes late the previous evening, leaving the hall heavily filled with smoke. The plant fire department and the fire departments of the surrounding communities were able to extinguish the fire and there were no injuries, according to the police. The extent of the damage was initially unknown.
The fire at BMW's Landshut plant, though successfully extinguished, resulted in significant damage due to smoke infiltration. Despite the incident, the lower Bavarian industry continued operations in other areas, demonstrating resilience in the face of setbacks.
