Fires - Fire destroys the roof truss of an apartment building: Injured

Two people have been injured in a fire in an apartment building in Nittenau (Schwandorf district). On Thursday evening, the fire department rescued four people from the burning house, in which a total of 18 people were reported, said a police spokesman. The two injured people were taken to hospital. The roof of the house burned down completely. Around 200 firefighters battled the flames for around three hours. The house is uninhabitable after the fire. The police estimate the damage to be at least 100,000 euros. It is not yet clear how the fire started, said the police spokesman.
