Fires - Fire destroys doctor's surgery - 150,000 euros damage

A doctor's practice in a house is completely destroyed by a fire in Donaueschingen (Schwarzwald-Baar-Circus). A police spokesperson announced on Saturday that the fire broke out on Friday evening in a sauna on the first floor of the house. The damage was estimated to be around 150,000 Euro, according to a statement.

The fire department was able to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the building. All six residents present in the building left it independently after being alerted by a smoke detector. Two people, including a four-month-old baby, were examined on site for the suspicion of smoke inhalation. According to the spokesperson, they were unharmed.

The building was reportedly not habitable at first. The police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.

The fire incident occurred in Donaueschingen, specifically in a medical practice located within the house. The fire department successfully contained the blaze, ensuring it didn't spread to other parts of the building. Despite the incident, the local police are currently investigating the cause of the fire in Baden-Württemberg.
