Firefighters rescued a trapped cat in Malschwitz, Eastern Saxony. The animal had slipped between two fences and got stuck there, the police reported on Sunday. The owner had been missing his four-legged friend for two days and eventually reported it to the police. During the search, the cat was discovered on a neighboring property in a helpless situation. After the rescue, it was safely returned to its owner.

The cat that was rescued in Malschwitz is not the only animal in need in Eastern Saxony. Several wildlife conservation efforts are underway to protect various animal species in the region.
