Fire department rescues 17 people from smoke-filled house

Moments of dread in the middle of the night: Smoke spread in a residential and vacation house in the Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg. The fire department had to rescue many people from the house.

Wohlenberg - Fire department rescues 17 people from smoke-filled house

Due to a burning transformer box, the Fire Department had to rescue 17 people from a residential and vacation house in the Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg in the middle of the night. The fire broke out in Wohlenberg around 2.20 am, according to the police. The multi-family house was heavily damaged by the fire and is currently uninhabitable. The inhabitants were initially accommodated provisionally in another building of the vacation complex. According to reports, damage of around 100,000 Euro was caused by the fire. No one was injured.

The Fire Department's response to the incident was crucial, as it took place in the Nordwestmecklenburg District, which is part of the larger region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Fortunately, despite the scary moment caused by the fire in Wohlenberg, no one was injured.
