Fire department divers retrieve floater from the Elbe
A male corpse has been found in the water near the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. Fire department divers recovered the lifeless body from the Elbe in Hafencity on Tuesday afternoon, said a fire department spokesman in Hamburg. The police had previously been notified of a lifeless person floating in the water, a police spokesman added. The body, which was said to have had certain signs of death, was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further examination. The background and cause of death were initially unclear.
