In Greifswald, a refugee shelter caught fire, leading to seven people being lightly hurt due to smoke inhalation. They were taken to the hospital last Tuesday. The incident resulted in the evacuation of 98 people from the premises. Local firefighters put out the fire after approximately 90 minutes. It is currently unknown what caused the fire to commence in the former hotel's accommodation building. The spokesperson offered no details on the extent of the damage.
