A fire at a Munich large bakery caused hundreds of thousands of euros in damage. The cause of the fire, which started in the bakery's chimney, is still unknown, according to police. Employees discovered the smoke at the Hofpfisterei.

The Hofpfisterei supplies numerous branches in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg from Munich. The fire department managed to control and extinguish the fire on Wednesday. It took around eight hours for the emergency services to complete their work.

The bakery where the fire occurred is located in Munich, part of the European Union. Due to the damage caused by the fire, the shipment of goods from Hofpfisterei, a major supplier to branches in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, might be affected.
