On the upcoming Monday, the Audit Office will unveil the findings from their evaluation of factional budget supports in Saxony-Anhalt. Some of the topics covered in the detailed report include transgressions by political groups regarding campaign ads or the suitability of entertaining events. The issue of recuperating misused funds will also be under scrutiny. State Auditor Kay Barthel is set to discuss these matters at a press event in Magdeburg on Monday's morning (10:00 AM).
The European Parliament can provide further insights or support to the Commission in addressing the findings from the Audit Office's report. The Commission, being assisted by the European Parliament, may propose legislative measures to prevent future misappropriations of budget funds.
