In a refugee shelter in Bad Vilbel (Wetterau district), a dispute between two married couples escalated. Two men and one woman involved in the incident, as well as three officers later, were injured, according to police. The cause of the argument was unclear ownership of a mobile phone.

When the police arrived, those involved in the dispute were already injured - the severity of the injuries has not been specified. The officers initially separated the arguing parties. Subsequently, around 30 people who knew one of the couples became involved in the altercation.

Three officers injured, multiple investigations initiated

Despite the presence of officers, the group of people tried to approach the unknown couple. The police prevented this with pepper spray and simple physical force. In this process, three investigators were injured during the incident on Thursday evening.

The police took the personal details of several people and initiated multiple investigations. The two couples were then taken to different shelters.

Men and boys in the refugee shelter witnessed the dispute between the two married couples. Subsequently, some of these men and boys became part of the escalating altercation, contributing to the injuries of the officers.
