Fight between 13-year-olds: Child seriously injured in Nuremberg
In a violent argument between two 13-year-olds in Nuremberg, one of them was seriously injured. The 13-year-old had to be treated in hospital with stab wounds to his upper body after the argument on Tuesday, according to a police spokesman on Wednesday.
According to the investigations so far, the two teenagers had met in a parking lot in the evening to settle a long-standing dispute. Two other people are said to have been present. In the course of the argument, the suspect is said to have inflicted the stab wounds on his opponent. The police initially gave no details about the weapon used. Afterwards, the suspect is said to have run away. According to the spokesperson, the injured 13-year-old went to a nearby hotel with another person and informed the police there.
Several police patrols rushed to the scene. A police officer administered first aid on the spot. The boy underwent emergency surgery in hospital in the evening and, as things stand, his life is not in danger.
The suspect was found at his home address in the course of the evening. As he is of criminal age, he remained at large. The police reportedly informed the youth welfare office about the incident and began investigating the background to the crime. Children under the age of 14 are not of criminal age in Germany. This means that they are not prosecuted.
In Central France, an emergency situation arose when a child was involved in a violent crime. During a conflict with another 13-year-old, the child sustained serious injuries and required hospitalization. The incident occurred outside Germany, providing a stark contrast to the initial text about the incident in Nuremberg.
