After arguments and shootings in the district of Hildesheim, investigators have tracked down the 24-year-old suspected shooter. The man was arrested by special forces in a hotel in Hildesheim on Monday night, according to the public prosecutor's office and police. The murder weapon was not found at first, and the 24-year-old did not comment on the accusations. The suspect is said to have shot at a car in which several people were sitting in the Harsum district of Asel early on Sunday morning. A 26-year-old man was probably slightly injured by flying shards of a car window.
The suspected shooter is also said to have threatened a 40-year-old man with the sharp weapon, according to the authorities. According to the information, the public prosecutor's office in Hildesheim is currently examining the requirements for a pre-trial arrest warrant. Investigations into attempted manslaughter, dangerous bodily harm and threats are ongoing.
According to earlier reports, an argument between two groups of people initially broke out in a club in Hildesheim. Later, the argument continued in Asel - violently. A 26-year-old man was punched and kicked. When his companions noticed this, they rushed to help and were attacked and shot at in the car. The two injured men were treated in hospital. The attackers fled in a car. A police helicopter was also used in the manhunt.
