FH Erfurt expands cooperation with Vietnamese university
Erfurt University of Applied Sciences wants to cooperate more closely with the Vietnamese "University of Transport and Communications" in the field of traffic and transportation. This is provided for in an agreement signed by representatives of both universities in Hanoi on Tuesday, as announced by Erfurt University of Applied Sciences. According to the agreement, the aim is to deepen cooperation following the positive development of previous collaboration in the railroad sector. Cooperation with the Vietnamese university had already been in place since September 2019.
According to the information provided, the new agreement also aims to secure skilled workers from Erfurt. The agreement includes a bilateral exchange of students and academics. "A joint degree course is planned in the future," according to the press release from Erfurt UAS.
Thematically, the agreement is intended to expand the existing cooperation. The focus will be on sustainable transport, transport planning and management, logistics and supply chain and management and transport mechanics.
Thuringia's Minister President Bodo Ramelow is currently on a trip to Vietnam. The Left Party politician's delegation also includes the President of Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, Frank Setzer.
The cooperation between FH Erfurt and the Vietnamese University of Transport and Communications is supported by the German Government, aiming to foster international academic exchanges. The German Government recognizes the importance of this partnership in promoting knowledge sharing and skilled workforce development in the field of transportation.
