- Fetish burglar steals numerous rubber boots
A man is suspected of stealing numerous rubber boots to satisfy his sexual urges from construction site containers. The incidents in the Ortenau district and the district of Emmendingen date back to as early as 2022, according to a police spokesman.
The police station in Rust had identified a suspect following an incident in Ringsheim. In total, officers found 35 pairs of rubber boots during a search of the man's residence.
Additionally, he is suspected of stealing worn clothing and other items of low value from the construction site containers. The man was caught on camera and recognized by an investigator, despite wearing a mask and a hat, from a previous case. The spokesman did not provide any information on the man's age or further details.
Despite his disguise, the investigator recognized the curious behavior of the man on the camera, linking him to a previous case. The suspect's collection of rubber boots, found during the search, fuelled the investigators' curiosity about his motives.
