Festival for improvisational theater in Halle for the 20th time

Halle is hosting an improvisational theater festival for the 20th time around the first weekend of Advent. After the opening of the "Impronale" on Thursday, there will be great stage art without fixed scenes and scripted dialogs until Sunday. The anniversary motto is "Wondrous Worlds" - in addition to Halle, there will also be guest performances in Lutherstadt Eisleben and Zeitz.

According to the organizing association Kaltstart, the 20th edition of the festival will open "the gates to a world of the unusual, the spontaneous and the unexpected" more than ever before. Ensembles and soloists from Australia, Israel, Austria, Poland, Slovenia and Switzerland will be coming to Halle. Award-winning artists from Germany will also be taking part, it was reported.

The actors will delight audiences with a special mix of styles, including horror stories and Loriot. There will be improvisation in acting, dance and acrobatics. The supporting program includes four workshops on techniques and topics relating to the art of improvised theater. The "Improkal" prize will once again be awarded by the audience. According to the information provided, a public showcase is planned for the last day of the festival, which will provide a look behind the scenes and into the wealth of improvisational theater.

Visitors to Halle can expect exceptional improvisational theater performances at this year's festival, as ensembles from Australia, Israel, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, and Switzerland join the celebration. The "Impronale" theater in Halle will transform into a stage for a unique blend of acting, dance, and acrobatics, offering an unforgettable experience for theater lovers.
