Illegality [Undertaking] - Female suspect arrested for lighting up a cigarette at the train station

A 62-year-old woman got caught smoking at the Hannover main station, which led to her downfall on Sunday. Since it's illegal to smoke inside the station due to a smoking ban, police officers questioned her to note down her details. However, during the interrogation, the police discovered that she had two pending warrants for her arrest, as they shared on Monday.

The District Court of Hannover had found the woman guilty in two instances, one involving assault on law enforcement officers and the other for physical harm. The first case resulted in a six-month probation period in 2021, and the second case had a six-month jail sentence in 2023. Due to her non-compliance in serving the prison term, she was being hunted down.

The woman was eventually caught and parked in a detention center. She's now facing a collective sentence of a year, as mentioned by the Federal Police.
