Cloppenburg District - Female Fatality in Truck Collision
On a Wednesday evening, a collision happened on Bundesstraße 213 in Löningen. A 42-year-old lady from Gescher (Kreis Borken/NRW) seems to have driven onto the incorrect side of the road for unknown reasons and crashed into an incoming truck. It's speculated that she might have experienced a medical emergency.
The injured woman was extricated from the wreckage with critical injuries, but unfortunately passed away in the hospital. Meanwhile, a first aider tended to the child initially, and then it was taken care of by psychological emergency care. The boy was brought to the hospital due to shock but was later discharged. The 41-year-old truck driver remained unharmed. Apparently, some drivers drove past the accident site without offering aid, as reported by the first aiders to the police.
