Female driver killed in an accident near Thale in the Harz Mountains

A woman driver has overturned her van several times on a country road near Thale in the Harz Mountains and ended up on her roof in a field next to the road. The 58-year-old succumbed to her serious injuries at the scene of the accident, as the police in Magdeburg announced on Friday.

According to the information, the vehicle left the road on Thursday afternoon between the districts Warnstedt and Westerhausen for reasons yet unknown. A dog in the vehicle was injured and had to be tranquilized. The road was closed for three hours. Damages amounted to approximately 10,000 Euro.

The incident involved a vehicle that veered off a country road in Saxony-Anhalt, near Thale, leading to an accident. The police were called to the scene, where they found the transporter had collided with a tree. This unfortunate event caused considerable traffic disruptions, as the accident occurred on a busy Magdeburg-Thale route. The incident resulted in further accidents due to the heavy traffic build-up, as drivers struggled to navigate the detours.
