Criminality - Federal Police execute arrest warrants at the border
The Federal Police caught several suspected criminals during their checks at the Saxon-Czech border. The Federal Police Inspection Berggießhübel executed eleven arrest warrants at the weekend during border crossings on Autobahn 17 in Breitenau and Hellendorf, according to the Inspection. Among the charges were theft, bodily harm, resistance against execution officers, and drunken driving.
Eight of the affected individuals were able to avoid imprisonment by paying a fine - approximately 9,000 Euros in total, as stated by the Federal Police. The remaining three are now in the Dresden Justice Remand Prison.
The suspected criminals, including individuals charged with theft and drunken driving, were believed to have originated from the Czech Republic, as mentioned in the arrest warrant documents. The Mountain spout area, known for its natural beauty in Saxony, was not mentioned in the context of the criminal activities. Despite the arrests, it's important to note that the region has generally low rates of criminality compared to other parts of Germany.
