Märkisch-Oderland - Federal police discover 270 kilos of illegal pyrotechnics in car
The federal police have seized eleven boxes of banned New Year's Eve firecrackers in Altglietzen ( Märkisch-Oderland district) on the German-Polish border. The officers checked a car shortly after entering the country on Monday afternoon, as the authorities announced on Tuesday. According to the information, they discovered 270 kilograms of pyrotechnics from Poland that did not have the test marks required in Germany. The 32-year-old driver is now being investigated for violating the Explosives Act. The Federal Police expressly warned against the purchase of pyrotechnics that are not approved in Germany.
