Federal police arrest a drug dealer who was underground

A court sentences a 37-year-old man to 565 days imprisonment for drug trafficking. He goes into hiding. More than half a year later, a federal police patrol detains him.

The Federal Police apprehended an escaped, convicted drug dealer on an Autobahn near Rheinfelden (Circle Loerrach). He had been sentenced to 565 days in prison in December, as the Federal Police announced. The 37-year-old had gone into hiding to avoid starting his sentence. He attempted to enter Germany from Switzerland. During a vehicle check, an officer recognized him as the wanted suspect. The man was taken to a prison where he must now serve his sentence.

The escaped drug dealer attempted to enter Germany at Lörrach, hoping to evade his prison sentence. After his arrest, he was transported back to the prison in Circle Lörrach to complete his 565-day sentence.
